Payal Ghosh is an Indian actor and model. She has primarily worked in South Indian film and entertainment industry. She had made an entry into the Bollywood in 2017, but couldn’t gain any traction. She is also known as Harika in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Payal was born and brought up in a upper middle class Bengali Brahmin family in Kolkata. She was a brilliant student and had done quite well in her graduation. When her professors were suggesting her to go for Civil Services, she had decided to dive into the uncertain world of acting and modeling.

Payal had started career as an actress with a BBC Telefilm named Sharpe’s Peril. Her first film was Prayanam in Telugu which didn’t do well at the box office.

It may be noted that Payal Ghosh didn't file any FIR against Anurag Kashyap for two days after making allegation. She has only accused him of molestation on her social media pages. That is little bit disturbing. However, Rekha Sharma, the Chairperson of National Commission for Women has asked her to file a proper complaint against Anurag Kashyap.
She has now filed a case against Anurag in Oshiwara Police Station, Hyderabad.
