B N Singh (Brijesh Narayan Singh) is an IAS officer of UP cadre. Actually, he has been a UPPCS officer, and was promoted to IAS in 2009. He belongs to 1992 batch of UPPCS.

In UP, B N Singh is known for his strong political links. In fact, because of his political connections, he is considered more powerful than even senior IAS officers. 

Career
Throughout his career, B N Singh remained a pet of Rajnath Singh. He has also some deep political links with some SP and BSP leaders, but it is Rajnath who has helped him more than anyone. 

It is quite shocking to note that the majority of his posting has been around Delhi. It means B N Singh has always managed to get plum posting.

He was the OSD of Rajnath Singh in 1998.

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts:

  • Yogi Adityanath has recently removed him from the post of DM of NOIDA. The video of Yogi scolding him has gone viral. However, one should also not praise Yogi here. How come a corrupt and highly inefficient officer like B N Singh was holding such a crucial position under his supposedly transparent government?
  • The removal of B N Singh may have created panic for Rajnath Singh and his son Pankaj Singh.
  • You may be surprised to note that even before becoming an IAS officer; he was working in Delhi (Ministry of Agriculture) and NDMC for more than 15 years. You will just scratch your head by learning more and more about this officer.  
  • Recently, BJP has accused him for preparing to fight election while working as an IAS officer.  Interestingly, BJP has accused that Mr. Singh is trying to get ticket from BJP to fight 2024 Lok Sabha election from NOIDA.
