Biography/Wiki

Before being appointed as the DC of Pune, Rajesh was working as the Managing Director of Haffkine Bio Pharma, a state government firm. He was involved in managing Covid – 19 testing in the state. Under his guidance, Maharashtra has always lead in terms of number of testing done which is also reflected in more cases in its kitty.

Rajesh is going to have a challenging task in Pune. In fact, when the incumbent DC was transferred to the PMO, the state government took lots of time to finalize a name. They wanted to have been an officer at the helm who can control the spreading of infection in the IT hub of the western India. As a matter of fact, Pune has already crossed Mumbai as the highest number of Covid - 19 cases in Maharashtra.
