Vikrant Veer is known as an ethical and honest police officer. Before making him a villain for gruesome rape and murder case of Hathras, one should not forget that it was Hathras Police working under his leadership which had arrested four accused.

The Government has suspended him for cremating the body of the victim in the night. It may be noted that this shocking decision of the administration has made the issue out of the hand. It is also believed that the administration had taken this decision at the instructions of the Government.
