Ashwini Bhide is known as one of the most efficient, hardworking and honest officers in the contemporary times. She has always shown courage to say spade a spade. Her fearless way for implementing programs and schemes has earned her millions of admirers.

Career

Ashwini started her career as an IAS officer in Maharashtra. She has worked in many districts and departments. It is rare for an officer that people are still missing those days of Ashwini when Government schemes would be at their doorsteps.

Ashwini Bhide was the Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Project. Like E Shreedharan, she has done a wonderful job. It is quite unfortunate that Uddhav Thackeray Government has decided to punish her.

Ashwini was recently made the Additional Commissioner of BMC. She was brought back at a prominent position by the Government when the spread of Corona is going out of the control in the Maximum City. Needless to say, she has again shown what a determined officer can achieve. Her proactive policies ensured that Dharavi remained safe from Covid outbreak having only few cases.
