Tanushree Pandey doesn’t claim to be a neutral journalist. This is rather a bold statement. There is also not a semblance of doubt that she is an insanely biased journalist who has done much damage to the credibility of Indian journalism in a career spanning only five years.
Tanushree was born in 1993 in Delhi.
Tanushree Pandey and JNU Video Leak Case
India Today under the aegis of Rahul Kanwal tried to unearth the mystery of attack on JNU students and scholars by some masked men and women. They did lots of stinging sting operations. Later, it was found out that everything was planned and fixed. The sting operation failed to provide any answer.
Added with this was the case of Tanushree Pandey. In a video leaked by someone from Aaj Tak Group, Tanushree could be seen in a hush hush conversation with a JNUSU leader named Saket Moon. In fact, she was tutoring Saket. She was goading her how to allege ABVP. She was giving her suggestions to frame sentences so that the attack could look like a handiwork of ABVP.
In the end, Tanushree exposed herself, if there was anything left in her to be exposed.
Tanushree Pandey and Hathras Rape and Murder Case
The gruesome murder and rape of a dalit girl has shook the nation. Politicians saw this case as an opportunity to attack Yogi Adityanath. Many vultures in the media saw it a big opportunity to further their agenda. Tanushree Pandey was used by the India Today Group as a vulture. The leaked conversation of her with the brother of victim has put a question mark over the entire 'drama'. She was coaxing the brother of the victim to get a statement from his father.
Tanushree Pandey should have been arrested. Unfortunately, vultures like her are using The Right of Freedom of Expression to propagate hatred and falsehood.
And, as things stand, she was recognised with Ramnath Goenka Award for her Hathras Rape reporting.
