Navneet Sikera is an IPS officer of UP cadre. He is widely regarded as one of the toughest and daredevil police officers of the current generation. His name is replete with umpteen stories of heroics against dreaded gangsters. 



Biography/Wiki
Navneet Sikera is still known for his actions against organized crime in Lucknow. It was 2004 when he was made SSP of Lucknow. He was given clear cut order to free the capital city from the clutches of gangsters and mafias. And, needless to say, he had achieved that with flying colours. 

Career
Navneet Sikera has been at the command of district police at many locations, including Lucknow. He is crudely honest to his profession.
He had also an eventful stint as SSP of Meerut. 
 
He was recently promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADG).

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts:
  • At Lucknow in 2004, he had killed 22 dreaded criminals in police encounter. In fact, he had made Lucknow free of organized crimes and that’s why even after 16 years, residents of Lucknow still remember him.
  • A web series named Bhaukal is made on the life of Naveen Sikera. It was released in early 2020 and had become an instant hit. The second season of this web series named Bhaukal 2 was released in January, 2022 on MX Player and has again garnered huge views. It is one of the most viewed OTT series of 2022.
  • Navneet had always wanted to become a software engineer. However, while studying at IIT, Roorkey, he had went to a police station to make complain against some unknown persons. His father was getting threatening calls. The SHO didn’t file FIR and abused his father. On that very day, he decided to become an IPS officer. He had cracked UPSC CSE in his very first attempt and was allotted IPS as that was his first choice of services. He could have also gotten IAS.
