Biography/Wiki

Shriman Shukla is also quite a controversial officer. He is the son – in – law of Narottam Mishra, a BJP stalwart and Home Minister of MP. Because of this relation, Shriman Shukla was accused of getting plum posting during BJP regime. Similarly, Kamal Nath Government had chosen him for punishment because of same reason. He is again in the reckoning with the fall of Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh.

Career

Shriman Shukla has been DC of many districts of MP. His stint at Guna was remarkable and people there still remembers him for his mission to take government programs and policies at the doorsteps of all those who require them.

He was recently made the Director of Madhya Pradesh Agro Industries Development Department. Interestingly, just before the floor test of Kamal Nath Government, he was given a plum posting. This move of Kamal Nath had shocked observers.

Shriman Shukla had cracked UPSC CSE two times. In his first attempt, he had gotten IPS. In his second attempt, he secured All India Rank of 18 (and, Second with Hindi Medium) and was allotted his first choice of services – IAS. Before this, Mr. Shukla had also cracked MPPSC and had worked as a DSP.
Shriman Shukla was also in news for a rape case. An IPS officer had alleged that he made sexual relationship with her promising marriage. The investigating team had concluded that the sexual relationship was consensual and hence can’t be termed as rape. The woman police officer in this case happens to be a dalit (SC).
He has recently been appointed as the Managing Director of Road Development Authority to the MP Government.
