Aishwarya Dongre is a
2018 batch IPS officer of Kerala cadre. She was appreciated for showing impressive leadership during COVID-19 pandemic in Kerala. She has recently been appointed as Kochi Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order and Traffic).

Aishwarya was born and
brought up in a upper middle class family in Mumbai. She had decided to go for
UPSC Civil Services Examination after completing her graduation from St. Xavier’s
College. And, riding on her sheer determination, she had cracked UPSC in her
very first attempt.
Aishwarya had gotten 196
All India Rank in UPSC CSE. She couldn’t get IAS, her first choice and was
settled with the second choice – IPS. She decided to not appear again in the
UPSC in hope of improving rank and getting IAS.

- Aishwarya was recently in news for her impressive effort to make a heart transplant success amidst COVID-19 induced lock down. She had airlifted a heart and made it landed – 207 km away – within 30 minutes.
- Aishwarya had suspended a lady constable just because the later could not recognize her. The event will be marked as a black spot on her career. She was let off after a warning and the lady constable was reinstated. Few months later, another controversy of similar nature surfaced. A CPO was suspended for reportedly not inviting Aishwarya during the inauguration of a coffee vending machine at the police station.
