Born and brought up in a Tamil family, Vijayalakshmi had completed her education in Bengaluru. She was born in Chennai, but her parents were shifted to Bengaluru.

Vijayalakshmi had started her career in 2018 with Kannada movie Nagamandala. She had won Filmfare award for this movie. The movie was a blockbuster and she had gained immense popularity for her mesmerizing beauty and attractive physical attributes.
