Lawrence had started as a student leader from Chandigarh. He was emerged as a powerful leader belonging to student union named SOPU. Even during college days, he was a dreaded figure not only in his college – DAV Chandigarh, but also in the entire belt. Over time, he had come in touch with some Bishnoi leaders from Rajasthan and Haryana who had given him political protection. He started as a political commando and rose on to start his own gang.

What made Lawrence popular, or better to say notorious, is his open threaten to eliminate Salman Khan. It is not a secret that Bishnoi community hates Salman Khan for black buck shooting episode. By threatening Salman, Lawrence has become a leader of the entire community. Even more surprising is the fact that he had not made an empty threat. He had tried to kill Salman two times. First time, he had sent his most trusted lieutenant Sampat Nehra to Mumbai in 2018. Nehra was caught and is still in jail. In August, 2020, he had again sent few of his shooters in Mumbai. The gang had done recce of Salman Khan house. However, they were again caught by Haryana Police.
