Gopal Kanda is an Indian politician and businessman. He is currently the MLA from Sirsa in the Haryana Assembly. He is the President of Haryana Lokhit Party, an outfit founded by him.

Gopal Kanda is both an inspirational figure as well as someone who should have been behind bar. He started his career from the family owned shoe shop in Sirsa and rose to become one of the wealthiest businessmen of the reason. He had even launched an airline company, named MDLR Airlines. His career had nosedived after the suicide of Geetika Sharma who was a crew member of his airline.

Geetika Sharma had alleged Gopal Kanda the reason behind his suicide. He had to resign from the ministry following this. He was arrested and later got bail.
Recently Delhi court has absolved Gopal Kanda from Geetika Sharma suicide case. He is now a free man with no serious case. However, the acquittal has also raised a serious controversy.
It may be noted that the mother of Geetika Sharma had also committed suicide.
