Dhurat Sayli is from Maharashtra. She cracked UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2009 and was allotted Bihar cadre. She was among the toppers of IPS batch of 2010. She was born and brought up in an upper middle class family in Mumbai. Her all India rank in the UPSC CSE was 336.

She was born on 18th October, 1987 and had cracked UPSC at the age of only 23 years. Currently, she is 34 years old.

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts

Dhurat was recently awarded by the President of India for her commendable work in the Lok Sabha Election, 2019. She expresses happiness for being recognized by a national award for her hard work and honest policing.
In 2016, a Police Inspector had sent an objectionable SMS to Dhurat when she was posted as City SP Patna East. She had complained about the SMS to Manu Maharaj on the basis of which the Inspector was suspended.
Dhurat was recently accused by Araria BJP MP Pradeep Singh of playing politics and targeting BJP workers. He had also demanded her immediate removal from the post of SP, Araria. And, his demand was accepted within two days. Dhurat was transferred to Saran as Superintendent of Police (SP). Fortunately, she has not been shunted out and just a change in district has been made.
Recently, she has again been transferred to Nawada as an SP. Nawada is known for dreaded gangsters cum politicians like Akhilesh Singh and Pradeep Mahto, along with Yadavs like Kaushal and Rajballabh. It will be interesting to see how she handles many notorious gangsters of Nawada.
