Parambir Singh, IPS: Profile, Wiki, Family, Son, Age and Caste

Parambir Singh is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra Cadre. He was one of the most controversial Commissioners of Mumbai Police. His rather unblemished career had gotten lots of black spots as Mumbai CP. The Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case and its shady investigation done by Mumbai Police had brought disrepute to this organization. And, the mystery of putting bomb outside Antilia had made people scratch their heads - Mumbai Police is planting explosives in Mumbai. In the end, Parambir Singh was suspended by the Maharashtra Government under Uddhav Thackeray - the Government for whom he did all wrongs. 
 


Biography/Wiki
Parambir Singh, the IPS, used to be a no nonsense officer. He was the Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau before becoming the Mumbai Police Commissioner. He was made DG of ACB by the Devendra Fadnavis Government. However, he had complete change of personality after becoming the Mumbai CP. He allowed the Mumbai Police to become a caged parrot of the Government.

Parambir Singh is also close to many high profile Bollywood personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. They respect him for his work against eradicating the curse of underworld from Mumbai. He is also loathed by Hindus for being the officer who had arrested Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and had ensured that the poor lady gets the third degree torture.

Career
Parambir Singh has always been an officer with a difference. It is simply impossible to find a single blot on his three decade long career as an IPS officer. Apart from ACB, he had also served as the Additional DGP of Law and Order of Maharashtra Police. This term is still known for controlling crime in the state like never before. 
 

Parambir Singh and Sachin Waze

Sachin Waze, an Assistant Police Inspector (API), was heading the prestigious Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai Police. He was reinstated by the MVA Government citing lack of police force during Covid - 19 outbreak. He was given responsibility to investigate all political sensitive cases, because of him 'being a Shiv Sena member'. 
 
Everything was going good until Sachin Waze was found involved in putting bomb before Mukesh Ambani House and later being involved in the murder of Mansukh Hiren. He was arrested and Parambir Singh was transferred. Sharad Pawar had compelled Uddhav Thackeray to transfer Parambir Singh. 
 
Parambir Singh, understanding the importance of dirt on his career, had written a letter to Uddhav Thackeray in which he alleged that Anil Deshmukh, the Home Minister and senior NCP leader, had given target of Rs. 100 crore to Sachin Waze. The amount was to be collected every month in the form of extortion. 
 
The letter of Parambir Singh has also left many unanswered questions. If he was aware of this sordid saga, what was he doing as the head of City police? A big extortion racket was being run by Mumbai Police and he was ignoring, or was he also involved in this? 
 

Parambir Singh and Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur

Sadhvi Pragya was arrested by the ATS Mumbai under UPA Government. She was implicated in the Malegaon blast case. However, even the best officers of Maharashtra Police along with supervision of Chidarambar couldn't find any evidences against her. She was later released on bail. After coming out of the bail, she had revealed that Parambir Singh was the officer who had physically assaulted her. Parambir had used belt to thrash a woman who was suffering from life threatening diseases. The episode has shown how bad and low level this IPS officer can go to satisfy his political masters. Married to Savita Singh. The wife of Param Bir Singh was appointed as the Independent Director of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. She is also on the board of Indiabulls Properties Investment. The role of Parambir Singh is quite evident in ensuring these roles for her. Her educational qualification and experience has no role to play in these crucial appointments.

Son of Parambir Singh is Rohan Singh. He is married to the grand daughter of powerful BJP politician from Nagpur Mr. Datta Meghe. Rohan is married to Radhika. Sameer Meghe is currently BJP MLA, who is the brother of Datta Meghe. The father of Radhika is Sagar Meghe, who runs a successful business in Nagpur and is quite close to Nitin Gadkari. Because of these BJP connections, Shiv Sena didn't want him to be appointed as the Commissioner of Mumbai Police.

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts:
  •          Parambir Singh was the head of ACB, when clean chit to Ajit Pawar was given in the high profile Irrigation Scam. It may be termed as a blot on his career, but looking at different perspective, he had done nothing wrong.   
  •      The real name of Parambir Singh is Parambir Bhadana. However, his father didn't use the caste name and had also not allowed his children to use it. He is a Gurjar by caste. His family is well - known in Faridabad for producing many Civil Servants and army officers. 
  •       The Vinay Tiwari Case, where BMC forcibly quarantined a Bihar cadre IPS officer in Mumbai and the Mumbai Police didn't allow him to stay in the IPS Mess will also be a serious blot on the career of Param Bir Singh. He is being seen as a compromised man just because of this case. CBI will now investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput mysterious suicide/murder case. Nothing can be more disastrous for a great organization like this. Parambir Singh has become a curse for an esteemed organization.

    This is very biased, more like a paid content, for image make over of Parambir Singh. I say with authority as I personally have been involved with Mr. Singh. Now I have doubt on accuracy of content on this website on all profiles. This is pathetic
