Shyam Sundar Kalani was an actor and theatre personality. He was known for portraying the role of Sugreeva and Bali in the epic Ramayana Serial of Ramanand Sagar. He has breathed his last on 26th March, 2020. Ramayana was again being telecasted on DD, but unfortunately that has happened after the demise of Shyam Sundar ji.

Shyam Sundar Kalani was born in a Sindhi family in Jabalpur. He started acting on theatre and stage during his college days. His first break came in the form of role of Sugreeva and Bali in Ramayana.

Career

There is not an iota of doubt that Shyam Sundar had shown immense potential in acting. His real face remained hidden because of the demand of the character. Yet, he left a mark in the heart of millions of followers.

Unfortunately, that also remained his last big acting break. No one ever offered him any credible role. That is really surprising. Though, because of popularity, he continued to earn money by taking part in Ramayana Stage programs throughout the country, but appearing on TV and film remained something out of his reach. He could appear only as guest appearance in few films.
