K. Annamalai, IPS: Wiki, Bio, Wife, Age, Caste and Family

Annamalai Kuppuswamy is the President of Tamil Nadu unit of BJP. He is a former IPS officer of Karnataka cadre. He had resigned from the IPS in 2019, when he was the DCP of Bengaluru South.
 
He is already being considered as a man who can become the CM of Tamil Nadu in the next 15 years. All prominent leaders of DMK are frightened by his burgeoning popularity among youths and women. There is also no denying that he has charged the moribund state unit of BJP.


Biography/Wiki
Annamali is popularly known as the Singham of Karnataka. He was involved in solving many high profile cases. He had also gotten stupendous success in containing deteriorating law and order situation of Bengaluru with innovating policing.

Annamalai was formally inducted into the Saffron Party on 25th August, 2020. His induction was perceived to be a big boost for the party in Tamil Nadu. He had worked in Karnataka, but has always been immensely popular in Tamil Nadu – particularly in Chennai and Coimbatore. The party is also aware of his popularity and importance, and hence he has given responsible position in the party - first as the Vice President and then as the President of the state unit.

DMK trolls have always been after him. They are trolling him and accusing him to have gotten benefits by the BJP Government when he was an IPS officer. Annamali had to respond this allegation, and he did this in style. Take a look at his response:

BJP supporters in Tamil Nadu are projecting him to be a force who will make Udhayanidhi Stalin a tearful entry into the politics. Annamalai has lost election, while Udhayanaidhi is now an MLA. Still, people are comparing them.

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts:
  • Annamali has said that he considers himself a natural fit for the BJP. He said this in context with his vision which is aligned with that of the biggest political party of India.
  • He was a 2011 batch IPS officer. His stint at Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts as SP was quite popular. 
  • He was severely trolled on Indian social media, particularly on Twitter and Instagram. He says that there is nothing to worry about trolling and memes as majority of them are paid posts emanating from Ukraine and Georgia. Interestingly, many Pakistani accounts are found to be criticizing him for joining the BJP.  
  • He couldn't pass the first hurdle in the world of politics and lost the Assembly Election from Aravakurichi Assembly Constituency. 
  • The first book of Annamalai - Stepping Beyond Khaki - was recently launched. 

  • He had gifted the first copy of the book to B. L. Santosh, the General Secretary (Oraganization) of the BJP and the man who was instrumental in bringing him to the saffron fold. 
  • He has recently launched statewide YATRA  named En Mann En Makkal. This padyatra has given sleepless nights to DMK.

    Such an young age to get name as best IPS officer is remarkable, and his Joining BJP is wonderful move. he would prove to be a tall leader in BJP, bcz BJP is highly ORGANISED party, he is a best FIT. I wish him and his party all the best.

      i am from karnataka, chikkamagakuru dis. he was ips officer in my district he was loved by everyone of us,my mother cried when he was posted to bengaluru in 2018 he was a good man really we miss him a lot. even though he is a tamilian he was loved by us by his work .

    What a men he gave up ips just to join politics and serve tamilnadu, yep more hard working youngsters should take politics as a carrier ,,,,he is in line with tejasvi Surya to be the next p m of India ,I m from utterpradesh I firmly believe that no one should b a pm of India from up coz up got nearly 80 parliamentary seats
