Veer Sahu is an Indian playback singer, stage artist, music composer and lyric. He is one of the most popular singers of Northern India in the contemporary times. His popularity also stems from the fact that he is the husband of the national heartthrob Sapna Chaudhary.

Career

Veer Sahu was born and brought up in Madanheri village of Haryana in a humble middle class family. His father used to work in a small farmland that the family owns. He started to sing on stage while being in school. It took time, but slowly he started to become popular. One thing that makes him apart is his stubbornness to not desert his Haryanavi identity. He has given a distinct identity to Haryanvi film industry.

Some of his popular films are Rasook Aala Jaat, Thaddi Baddi and Khalnayak, among others.

Veer Sahu is quite different when it comes to playing his caste identity. He has openly said many times that he is proud of being a jat. In fact, he had termed his attitude as ‘Jattitude’.
Veer Sahu had taken admission in a medical college for MBBS. However, he had decided to quit college to pursue his dream of becoming an actor/singer. His family was obviously not happy, but somehow they were convinced.
It may be noted that Veer Sahu had never used the word ‘Daru’ in any of his songs. He doesn’t want to promote alcoholism and substance abuse through his art, like majority of Haryanvi actors are doing these days.
