the SP of Chamarajanagar district, becoming the first woman SP of this district.

Divya Sara is known as
an upright and honest police officer. She has become quite famous in a short span of time. Before being appointed as SP of Chamarajanagar, she was working as the DCP of CARF, Bengaluru. She has also worked as the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Nanjangud, Mysuru.
Unfortunately, she has also been accused of being involved in anti Hindu activities.

- Divya Thomas had recently visited the Anjaneya Temple in Kollegala. In the temple, she had allegedly insisted to put the picture of Jesus inside the Sanctorum of the Anjaneya Temple. The priest obliged because he feared the police. The Karnataka Police has issued a statement calling this news to be a fake one. However, they are yet to give credible information about the Jesus and Mary photo in the temple. Divya, on her part, has also refuted this allegation. She says that her husband is a Hindu and she respects the Sanatana Dharma.
- Divya was instrumental in starting the innovative creche system for women police officers at the Commissioner's office in Bengaluru.
